Where the data comes from
Current conditions for Santa Rosa are provided by Urban Garden's rooftop weather system, including temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and direction, and barometric pressure. The system is an Oregon Scientific WM-918 using Virtual Weather Station software.
Regional Observations are obtained at least once per hour through METAR and MESONET observation reports.
The Santa Rosa 5-Day Forecast is provided by the WeatherUnderground network and is updated once daily.
Accuracy
Weather observations are highly variable and may be quite different over a short distance. Urban Garden Weather is reported near Montgomery Village in east Santa Rosa. Urban Garden Weather observation data is independently monitored by MADIS and has been estimated to be 99% accurate.
